Alberta Occupational Health and Safety officials remained at the Lazer Wash and Detail Centre at 6104 67A St. in Red Deer at 7:20 p.m. on Friday, said Gurshan Dhillon, spokesman for Occupational Health and Safety. He said three workers were taken to hospital after the incident at 3:40 p.m., but did not have specific information on their condition. Red Deer Emergency Services platoon chief Sheldon Christensen said two men are in life-threatening condition and a third is seriously injured. Red Deer fire investigators were still at the car wash on Friday evening, Dhillon said. STARS air ambulance was initially dispatched to Red Deer Regional Hospital but the flight was cancelled.
