EDMONTON – A 59-year-old worker died Wednesday after being hit by a bus at a jobsite near Edmonton. A coach bus dropped off workers at the Redwater Sturgeon refinery site at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. As the bus moved forward to make a left turn a worker was hit while crossing the road and became caught underneath the bus, Occupational Health and Safety said. The driver stopped the bus, and 911 was contacted. The worker was taken to the University of Alberta, where he later passed away.
